1. These terms and conditions set out the agreement between you (the “Delegate”) and Legal Professional Development Ltd (“LPD”, “We”).
2. These terms cover the seminar training events organised by LPD.
3. Any description of the Event is made for the purposes of providing a general idea of the Event and its aims and objectives.
4. The content of the Event, including any materials provided are for educational purposes only. You should obtain specific legal advice from independent legal practitioners prior to taking steps on any matter that may involve legal issues concerning yourself or your organisation.
5. The views or opinions of the speakers are not those necessarily of LPD.
6. Once you have booked online (or by post or telephone), you will be sent a Booking Confirmation. A Booking Confirmation will amount to a legally binding contract, based on the Terms and Conditions set out here.
7. Where a Booking Confirmation has not been sent out prior to the Event or not received by you, your attendance at the Event will amount to a legally binding contract based on these Terms and Conditions.
8. If you are booking an Event, you confirm that you have the authority to bind any business/organisation on whose behalf you have made the booking (s).
9. You acknowledge that these Terms and Conditions amount to the entire agreement between you and LPD and supersede and extinguish and previous agreement and representations between us in writing or oral.

11. An invoice for payment will be sent to the address provided by you.
12. An invoice must be paid within 7 working days from the date of the invoice.
13. There may be occasion where you have been accepted to attend the Event prior to payment being received by us. Attendance at the Event will amount to a legally binding contract in accordance with these Terms and Conditions.
14. Where there has been non payment of fees prior to attendance of the Event, it will amount to a breach of contract and LPD will reserve the right to refuse you and your delegates entry into the Event.
15. We reserve the right to change venues within the city advertised. However, we will endeavour to re-locate within 5 miles of the original planned venue.
16. There may be need at short notice to substitute trainers and speakers. If two speakers are scheduled on the programme and due to exceptional circumstances (e.g. illness, transport), the remaining speaker may conduct the whole programme in its entirety or until a substitute speaker arrives.
17. You will appreciate that LPD will incur expense when reserving your place as a delegate with the venue, consequently early cancellation by you is advisable. You or your organisation has the right to cancel the booking (in writing only) up to 14 days prior to the Event. Refunds will be made in full. Alternatively, you may wish to nominate a substitute delegate from your organisation (this must be in writing).
18. If you are a consumer, you have the right to cancel within 14 days of receiving the Booking Confirmation. Receipt will occur when LPD has sent you an email confirming booking and not whether you have opened the same.
19. There may be occasion, (e.g. due to the proximity of date of Event) that you give consent to the Event taking place within the cancellation period, you will waive your right to cancel the booking.
20. If LPD cancel an Event, we will endeavour to contact you in advance of the date, but there may be exceptional circumstances that require us to cancel on the day of the Event.
21. If there exceptional difficulties with a speaker or speakers attending, or if there are insufficient delegate bookings then this may impact on the quality of the seminar experience, we reserve the right to cancel the Event. A full refund will be made. LPD will not be liable for any other expenses incurred by you (e.g. petrol, rail fares, hotel etc) as a result of an Event being cancelled.
22. Your personal information will be processed in line with Data Protection Legislation.
23. Lunch will be provided by the Venue. If you have any special dietary enquiry you must notify us in writing and we will pass the same on to the Venue. If you have any food allergy you should notify the Venue directly in writing and notify us of your communication and discussions with them. LPD will not be responsible for any liability resulting from the lunch/refreshments provided by the Venue.
24. An electronic certificate of attendance will be provided to those that have remained on the course for its entirety or a substantial part of the course.
25. LPD reserves the right to refuse proposed bookings by individuals or/and organisations that are attending to solicit business for themselves.
26. No audio and/or visual recording of the seminar is permitted without prior written permission by LPD.
